Profession of the future: chimney sweep

Beate Martin is a master chimney sweep in Dünwald / Hüpstedt. The 35-year-old has used the ERDF funding to create ideal working conditions in her chimney sweep company. Before the funding, Beate Martin had rented a small commercial space without enough workspace and the necessary sanitary facilities for cleaning the heavily soiled work clothes and equipment.

Meanwhile, the master chimney sweep has founded her own company along with two colleagues. The company not only has a comfortable break room and large shower and washrooms; there is also enough office space for the multiple organisational tasks such as the documentation of the numerous measurement, test and work results.
