The renovation of the west wing of Buttstädt Town Hall is one of the projects currently being funded by the ERDF Thuringia. Preserving the historic fabric of the building is of utmost importance. The imposing Renaissance-style building, which is listed as a historic monument, is located on the market square in the heart of the town. Once the work is complete, the west wing will house a medical center. The main aim here is to provide the residents of Buttstädt with a centrally located and accessible. Once artificially created by the Heydenreich manor brewery as a standing water source for ice production, a valuable biotope developed there after the brewery stopped using the water.
