During the Europe Weeks from April 30 to May 31, 2023, citizens in Thuringia had the opportunity to get to know Europe in a variety of ways.
This year, Europe Day was celebrated in Thuringia on May 13 in Sömmerda on the Obermarkt.
The program included interesting panel discussions on current European issues, informative presentation stands by associations and federations on European policy, and music and dance performances. The European Regional Development Fund also had an information stand at the event.
A wide range of activities invited children to join in, and refreshments were also provided.
At 3 p.m., Thuringia's Minister President Bodo Ramelow visited the event.
At the end of the day, at 5:45 p.m., the Thuringian Police Orchestra played and took the guests on a musical journey through Europe.
We hope that all guests enjoyed the festival and look forward to welcoming you back again next year.
Further information on the program can be found on the Website of the Thüringer State Chancellery.
