Every year, the European Union celebrates Europe Day with numerous events and festivities designed to strengthen the community of individual member states. On this day, public buildings are decorated with symbols of the European Union, including the European flag.
In Germany, in addition to Europe Day, there is also European Week, which aims to educate people about and discuss cultural and economic issues relating to the European Union.
The Thuringian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Areas(TMWLLR) also participates in European Week every year. The TMWLLR focuses on visits by Minister Tiefensee to projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
This year, Europe Day will take place at room AG in Jena on May 6, 2024, at 10 a.m.
