High-tech from Jena: First contactless 3D fingerprint scanner
The Jena-based company IDloop is developing the world's first contactless 3D fingerprint scanner, "CFS flats," with funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The technology sets new standards in biometric identification by capturing fingerprints quickly, hygienically, and securely.
A key advancement is the "nail-to-nail" technology, which enables particularly precise data capture. Jena, a leading location for optics and biometrics, offers IDloop ideal conditions for further development. Thanks to ERDF support, the company can bring the technology to market maturity and further strengthen Thuringia as an innovation hub for biometrics.
